I want to buy a new cpu for my 939. Currently running a 3700 San Diego. ...was considering the Opteron 170... or should I just go with a 4800 dual core... I'd like to stay around the sub $200 price OC isn't an immediate need...I like to use a cpu until it feels slow then OC. thanks

Not sure what your issue is ... I play it @ 1680x1050 Everything Ultra 4x AA ON 7800GT 2 gigs 3700 Runs great.... patched and not so patched...either way runs fine. I also want to add that I have a buddy running this on a 1700xp chip it's slow to load but is playable after that...

That guy above is a moron..Winamp is the best...too bad there aren't many alts for osx. really wish there was...but anyway.. this is evident with blackberrys as well..if the device isn't installed or connected etc it charges a lot slower. (plugin bb into usb without desktop manager) i bet...

just install suse linux and customize it or find osx86

yes it's a san diego 939 i dropped the cpu down -.02 i believe and now it goes from around 1.471-1.5

is your mb running the latest bios? 12/05 i think have you tried a full reinstall? i'd remove any pci cards and usb devices also don't install the nvidia firewall stuff or the sw ide

Does anyone use 7800gt composite in from cable with a pvr program? I'm trying to use my comp in from cable tv... snapstream shows the channel when i first set it up but after that i can't view anything..even going back to the config. Virtual vcr works fine...

this happened to me waaaay back with a riva 128 pci i believe the tearing is from hot vid memory.

i would say around $600- $700...maybe a little more on a good day.
