Just to follow up here: - ESXi-Customizer does also work with ESXi 5.1. - When adding tgz files you might need to choose the option "Force repacking" with some packages (this will prevent a "Boot image corrupt" message when trying to install later). This includes Chilly's e1001e.tgz file!
