If you have no plan of gaming on that computer, you should invest on a workstation class card. Something like nvidia quadro or ati firepro. They will be better suited for your photography editing and video editing work.

using galaxy s2 with v 4.0.3 android. I have yet to see the low memory message. most times i run 3-4 programs, and they switch to one another just fine. may be the problem you are facing is a handset specific issue.
i love the feeling of my sgs2's plastic body specially the back cover. too bad sgs3 didnt have such textured finish. i have dropped my phone several times on the floor hard enough to pop the back cover open but not even a scratch let alone any crack.
