Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
What are we thinking the price trends will be for DDR3 as DDR4 is released?
Will they continue to rise?
For instance, if I were thinking that 8GB is enough for now, but I might need 16GB in the future... would it be best to just purchase 16GB now? Or wait for prices to drop?
(For those who...
I doubt intel is making this call at all.. It's probably the motherboard manufacture deciding to make this change.
Also, MSI might also be doing this:

But this phenomenon isn't new.
While what you're saying is definitely true, the reviews have gotten worse. so it seems like we have 2-3x as many people getting pissed off, which is pretty significant.
EDIT: Hell, look at the reviews for the samsung drives. Their reviews are sooo much better.
Look at the other reviews though. The only ones that look decent are the Samsungs.. but those don't exist any more and were cut down to a one year warranty from a three year.
And now you'll understand why I am making this post. None of them seem like great options. =/
How old are those drives? 1TB makes me think they are at least a few years old.
I have a 1.5TB WD green drive thats going strong. The concerning reviews are recent development in the last year or so.
The samsung drives aren't made by the same factory anymore. (I don't think?), so it's hard to consider your testimony from old drives into my purchase consideration since they are no longer available. (These would've, without a doubt, been a drive of a choice back when samsung was still making...
I am in the market for a new HDD. 1.5TB to 3TB, likely
This will be a storage drive, and therefore I am not in the market for a WD black, etc.
It will be running torrents off of it and will likely be active a large majority of the time.
The data isn't even that important and therefore I am...
I'm looking for a good cheap webcam.
Nothing special. I don't need HD or zoom or anything fancy.
I am just replacing my old webcam from like 1998 that doesn't work with 64bit windows.
I'd prefer:
No more than 640x480 resolution
Manual focus.
Manual focus on a new webcam seems...
Is there a reference page (wiki or otherwise) that has all the necessary information for these?
ie. all the different models and manufactures and the differences?
Also, are there any sellers that will check against dead pixels/dust?
I'd rather pay 10% more for a monitor with an assurances of no...
