It seems that im not the only one having heat issues with that particular western digital. It worried me at first but i dont think that its out of normal operating temps. I tried it out on other boards and smart still gave me high temps. Its temp is normal on touch, not hotter then another...
For 2 weeks now I have been trying to get good temps with my opteron 165 and a8n32-sli combination. It easily reached 2610mhz with 290x9( prime stable). However my temps were awful 45-46 idle and 54 on load(dual prime95). After trying everything from reseating the HSF, remanaging the cables...
Bump... If nothing else I would like to mention I managed to upp my OC to 2.6 (325x8) at 1.375 volts and a 333 divider.
I am idling at 36c and 54c on load. I think thats somewhat hot. I am thinking off adding a fan on my case panel.
Still hoping somebody knows what that high temp is...
Thank you for your response. BTW do you know if the stock hs fan paste for my p4 will stick on my cpu? I would hate bending some pins because the heat sink wont come off.
Just wondering if their was a way to use a stock opteron 165 fan with p4 3gig on a asus p4p800. My stock p4 fan makes a lot of noise and my cpu idles at 43. The amd fan looks a lot better. But could it fit?
I am not actually having problems but i am having weird heat readings with speedfan. (see sig for rig). One of the temperatures sensors gets really hot. Apparently this is on the motherboard. Its starts out pretty cool on idle around 30. But once I start anything it climbs up to 40-50 in no...
The eVGA motherboard just died on me. When it wouldnt boot anymore I got scared that the mobo might not be the only thing gone. Anyway I got myself a Asus AN8-sli this afternoon and once setup it booted up fine and overclocked pretty easily. Getting 34C on Idle and 46 on max load with a 250x9...
