Hi Guys
I have just purchased an E8400 to go in my trusted P5B, prior to putting it in I updated to the latest BIOS from the ASUS website.
Now my problem is that even though I have selected the VCORE of 1.2v manually in the bios, every other time I boot up, it sets it 1.45. I then...
After having read over the last four pages of this thread,I have come to this conclusion of which I would like compare to cars( which is a shame as i dont know shit about cars!)
If you are are hot rod fan(anything with a Chevy big block etc), then the Q6600 is for you.
if you prefer...
Might sound N00bish, but thats the score I used to get when I had my GFX card in the the 1Xpcie slot (was there for months)
Check it out once it was moved with your same card and CPU
am going to hold off for another 6 months or so , but yeah will be getting 64 bit vista
I was urged to buy another 2 gig, after reading another thread on the forum that stated "....theres no excuse not to have 4gig unless you live in a a caravan"
Ram is sooo cheap at the moment. Bought...
Have found some identical super talent Ram on EBAY for £40.
I already have 2x1 gb. My question is, if I buy another 2x1, can I still use it all in dual channel?.
Thanks
Hi Guys
Might sound like a silly question, but is there any way of finding out which Xfi card I have.
Bought it from ebay, but at the time I didnt know any of the diffrences between the lower cost cards .
Is there any software that can tell me which one I have installed?
Thanks for...
Couldnt asnswer directly about your score seeming low, but I think your memory is definately a bottleneck. I bet if you tried it again with even (just) 2 gig , but at higher speed you would get a better score, but by how much I have no idea.
I used the same vcore as you upto around the 3.0 mark and it was stable, but to get it Orthos stable at 3.2, I have to up it to 1.3625.
My advice would be to up the vcore a notch or two.
Good Luck!:)
Are there any utilities that can measure the temp of my northbridge.
I read in another post about someone using speedfan, but I can seem to find what its listed as on there.
At the moment I am using the probe thats connected to my Phong case, but I want something thats a bit more accurate...
Thanks for showing me this Bill, those guys take their stuff pretty seriously.
Oh, and leave my cat out of it:)
Am using BIOS version 0614. Seems to be working fine, but will using a more recent one give me better Superpi times?
Anyway, have changed the divider and timings for my ram...
This was the whole reason I was trying to find the command rate. My machine does superpi at late 17`s. Thought it might be because it was set at 2t, then I thought it might be cos my chip only has 2MB cache, not 4 like its big brothers, but looking at your time on your E4300, it cant be that...
No, still cant find it.
As I mentioned before, not showing what its currently set at in CPUZ or Memset.
Anyone with the same board locate it?
Any more ideas?
Thanks
Nick
No its defininately not there. Found all the other various timing settings for the memory, but not the command rate.
Any body else have any ideas?
