Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
um....
do as was suggested above - the ratio isn't right - for an oc of 3200mhz on that processor you run at a fsb of 400 - memory at 1:1 is = to DDR2-800 ie stock for your memory - its not being overclocked at that setting
adjust your ratio to 1:1 or the lowest ratio and try again
thats a major diff in idle and load - i wish i had that low of idle but nope... :p
really you won't see that huge of a gain - what kinda vid card are you using in that rig? - find out where your bottle neck is - more than likely you'd see more of an increase in a larger cache cpu than...
I already commented on this in your other thread but I did that pencil mod owkia mentioned and as i suggested you try - here is the link http://www.vr-zone.com/?i=4450&s=12 you're going for the mod at the top - only do this exactly as it suggests - its not hard to find that 2nd resistor and you...
I'd been using these coolermaster fans for a while now and a big panaflo fan
http://www.svc.com/y720ccd-25k1-gp.html
but i'm suspecting the coolermaster isn't cut out for high resistance situations - makes a decent case but not HSF fan (IMO) - going to look into another option
these...
ah ha - you got a similar setup to something i used for at least a year - first off after playing with 2 of these boards i found out that NB voltage was best left on auto - even clocking the boards above 400mhz FSB this held true
second note - you *must* remove the stock TIM on the NB -...
I'm going to steal something I heard someone else say a while ago but newegg is no longer the only hot spot for hardware - when they hit the scene it was like nothing else out there - retail pricing at what stuff was going for on ebay some times - insane deals 24/7 with great service - the...
this is interesting - i've been using this board for a while now - since feb 2007 and i've had moderate success on overclocking duals on it - both boards have been stable up past 400mhz and were able to handle 4x1 gigs of ram at DDR2-1000 *but* only at fsb below 400mhz but was able to handle 4x1...
IMO its not how well it performs in 3D Mark that makes the difference - I got an older 8800GTX that get beatup by some of these newer 8800 cards in 3D Mark performance but my card beats them in the actual game performance
that score seems to be pretty average and at that point you're more...
QFT on that - disable those if you want to be at full speed all the time - you board reduces the multi in an effort ot conserve power but it will ramp up when it deems you need that extra horse power
most general users won't need to change it but i see you're using an Asus Rampage so I'm...
I second that, try to reseat - check out your TIM application after you pull it off to see how the spread on the IHS and heatsink base looks
I got an E8500 that kinda runs hot at my 1.264v but nothing that crazy - I get 60-65c but I'm running her at 4ghz
Currently using the P5N-e SLI board in my sig - using a TRUE and 4 gigs of Mushkin Redline DDR2-1000
currently playing with a old Pentium D 915 that seems to be defunct but i got an Asus P5k Deluxe on the way in the mail so we'll see if its better performing or not
I usually like to stay...
Did you try to actually call - they're usually easy to get on the phone and were always nice people
I'd emailed them and never got a reply - so I called and was taken care of in 20 minutes
all OC's are hit or miss
My current E8500 does 4ghz at 1.264v easy but (I'm blaming the board...) Doesn't seem to want to do much higher fully stable - it will post at 4.2 and even run stable for an hour or 2 but always errors out (thinking my board doesn't like FSB that high)
from what...
