    Don’t try to mod them, your chances of success are minimal. The heat pipes are depressurized and have a vary small amount of water in them. If the heat pipe is cracked, it will not longer work.

    The issue may be in the IP stack rather than ethernet. For fun, on the desktop strart > run > cmd > ipconfig /release and then ipconfig /renew and then rerun the line quality test.

    I purchased my P5Q-Pro when it was launched so I'm pretty sure it was not a return. My static bag was not sealed but I didn't notice any finger prints or residue on the MB. Were your cd's sealed in their envelopes?
