Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Here's something....It has started I noticed about a month ago and goes whenever I run the network setup wizard. The Subsystem Spooler App comes up as an error and asks to send error report or not. What is the subsystem spooler app? Could it have something to do with my issue?
K, I'll try it once more, but once I do, it always goes out. Is there spyware out there that could cause this? What else could it be?
Thanks for the reply.
I have a laptop with WinXP and a desktop with dual booting...WinXP and Win2K. They are on an ethernet LAN that shares an internet connection. I recently installed the Linksys VPN 4-port router and seemed to gain some speed over the network compared to the off-brand router I had before. However...
I have posted questions in a thread that doesn't seem to be getting any response. Don't know why.
Can anyone direct me to another forum that is best suited to help me with my networking problems? One that maybe deals more totally with networking?
Thanks for allowing me to post here. I...
OK, let me ask this then...can anyone direct me to another forum that is best suited to help me with my networking problems? One that maybe deals more totally with networking?
Thanks guys.
Can anyone help with any of this? I suppose this is a bump to gather attention again.
I will be ordering a new router with VPN pass-through to see if that helps. Is US Robotics a good brand for routers? All I know they are good with is modems.
Yeah, I went with a new router, though not a major brand name like Cisco or LinkSys and still the same thing. Has anyone had problems with using a cable connection and doing VPN? Anyone able to help otherwise?
Thanks to all who reply.
I'm not really understanding what you are doing on your routing info you're sending through the client. I have tried numerous times to have my I.T. guy let me know what he did and what he can do to get my connection to work properly. He insists that he didn't do anything on his end to change the...
OK, I posted a different thread about my LAN losing its connection after it sees everything only minutes before. I'm gonna ask now if this might be because of my VPN connection.
I have a VPN connection calling my office's server in another city from my work laptop. We use the Checkpoint VPN...
Hello.
I have two computers on a LAN that lose each other eventually after I keep restoring the network (I have to run the network setup wizard again and again on both computers).
The built-in firewall is turned off. sharing for all drives on each computer is turned on. Today I was...
