Hello.
I have two computers on a LAN that lose each other eventually after I keep restoring the network (I have to run the network setup wizard again and again on both computers).
The built-in firewall is turned off. sharing for all drives on each computer is turned on. Today I was browsing the other computer from here and while I was sitting in a folder, it just poped over to the list showing windows terminal services, microsoft windows network, etc. Then I try to click on my network and it tells me the workgroup is not available, etc.
What the heck is happening that makes my network stop communicating? I have and On-Q router. (On-Q is a home automation company that makes lighting controls, sound integration, security integration, etc. Basically, in one cabinet in your garage, you have modules controlling all these things as well as tv inputs and such.) I even just received a new router to replace on old one(purchased last November).
I appreciate the help. Please let me know if more info is needed.
P.S. I'm running WinXP Pro on both puters.
