Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Hey all,
I'm plannining on building up a new comp for my younger brother for christmas. I placed my old Abit AN8 motherboard into a new case, alongside the A64 3500 CPU and 1GB of Corsair memory that i used in it too. I bought him a mid range PCI-Express gfx card to go into the board also...

My room does get fairly chilly when the windows are open, especially with the sub-zero temps we're getting outside at the moment. Going off everyone elses results though, i was also surprised to see those temps, which is why i thought i'd hit it lucky lol!
Excellent! And thanks for the replies, I'm going to put the 3 case fans in tommorow. 2 To exhaust warm air and 1 to pump more cool air in. Then i will begin to push it further. One thing i've noticed is that my Asus AI Suite program seems to report the CPU temp roughly 10 degrees higher than...
Hey all,
So i decided to try my hand at overclocking for the first time, with my new E6600 CPU. These are the results i've achieved so far, without changing any voltages, screenshots at Idle and under 100% load on both cores.

Hey all,
I recieved my X1900XTX today, Sapphire brand. Upon entering the Catalyst Control Centre options, when i look at the hardware information centre, the core clock speed is reported to be 500Mhz, and the Memory speed 594Mhz. According to the specs on ATI website the core speed should be...
I cannot ping the router from the laptop, or any other machines on the network. The desktop machines all ping fine.
I'm using WEP 64-bit Encryption, and also MAC address authentication.

Hey all, i'm having a bit of a problem.
I have a wireless network set up at home, consisting of 1 wireless router, 3 Desktop PC's & 1 Laptop with a PCMCIA wireless card. My problem is, the 3 desktop PC's connect to the router fine, and proceed to load up web pages no problem.

I took off the heatsink to check that it wasn't the CPU making the funny smell too. I dusted the heatsink out, then re-seated it before powering up with the new PSU. I think motherboard damage is likely :(
Hi all,
Just an hour ago, i was recently enjoying a game of WoW, when my younger brother comes darting into my room telling me that his PC has just shut itself off, and that there was a funny smell coming from inside.
I went to check up, and the smell was awful, and was definitely coming...
There should be an overdrive feature using Cat 5.3, although it won't be directly under the advanced tab, you'll need to go into the Catalyst Control Center tab, that lies within advanced. If it's not there you'll have to re-install the drivers and ensure CCC is checked this time around when...
Just a quick update really :) I've now got one of these boards, and managed to get my A64 3500 Winchester to 2.6Ghz on air, temps at load are around 55C.
The dual otes cooler above the ram works quite well too. Overall, the board has worked out well for me.
