Well, even that's better than stereo at certain times. If it sounds like actual surround, that's not much different from actual surround, is it? Apart from when I use the 3 jack setup directly from my computer, I can't get any surround, actual or virtual, from my gaming consoles, which annoys me...
After looking these over, I've decided I don't really know anything about speaker bars. I presently have a Logitech X-530 system that's pretty old now. The speakers are fine, but the cables have frayed near the jacks. I can replace these for 10 bucks and a bit of work, but due to limited space...
I have an HDMI switch going into my HDTV. The TV has an optical out. The speaker bar I'm looking at buying has optical, but not HDMI. If I have surround sound going into the TV via HDMI, and the optical out connected to the speaker bar, will I get surround (albeit virtual) from the speaker bar...
Whenever I start a game up on Steam, on my gaming PC, my wifi will often quit. The PC is wired and I can connect other computers to the router with a wire. When it quits, it quits right away when the game starts. My G930 headset will also often lose connection for several seconds at a time...
