unplugged dvd drive, took out the 8800gts and popped in a 3650 no fans are on except the cpu, gpu and the mobo fan. plugged in one hard drive, still no result
my new build started acting weird recently, first it started out being extremely slow, one hard drive w/ OS works on a different computer but slow, the other data drive ( WD6400AAKS ) spins but doesn't show up. but that's not, it makes the good working hard drive not work. whenever i try to use...
oh ok, so how do i figure out why is this thing running so damn slow, it taked like 20 minutes to work with it after the windows xp logo thing goes away.
i found the problem, my q6600 is running at 1600 mhz, most likely at 6x multiplier, i didn't oc it or anything and spread spectrum is off and all the thermal throttling is off too.
my new system just recently became extremely slow, i didn't do anything new. i checked the disk it's fine. none of the resource is being eaten up. my system is
EVGA 750i
8800GTS 640
Q6600 @ stock
680W Thermaltake PSU
G.SKill 4GB PC1000 RAM
hi, i want to overclock my q6600, right now i have a Arctic Freezer Por 7, and with OOCT the temp averages at 49 (load). i don't know why this is so high but should i oc this q6600? i know it's not the fact that the thermal paste didn't kick in cus it used to be at 53-57. and my case temperature...
ok lemme give you a lead, i know evga 750i FTW is good, but $200 will require me to cut some price on something else.
here is my plan, i got a system:
DFI Lanparty UT Ultra-D socket 939
AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+
Thermaltake 680W (SLI ready in 2006)
8800GTS 640.
as you can see it's a...
why would they use two different cpu to test the mobo, it looks pretty good, but should used have used both qaud and dual to see if it has any problems with quads
i haven't been up to date with new stuff, so i need ur suggestion on MOBO, that's stable, SLI ready, supports both Q6600 and Q9300. i'll planning on keeping this system for at least 2-3 yrs, so it has to have some OCing features. price, the cheaper the better. also for this system i need a PSU...
I'm not up to date with new components but i need a PSU for new intel quad core(possibly Q6600) with future possibilty of going SLI w/ 8800 GTS 640MB, i currently have a 680 Thermaltake PSU, is it gonna be enough for 2 8800GTS 640 and the Q6600 or Q9300, i don't know which motherboard it's gonna be.
actually i got a 8800 GTS 640 MB. and a frickin x2 3800+ and 1 gig of memry. the biggest bottleneck ever. but i can run that game around 60-65 in normal but sometimes drops to 30 @ medium-high settings. but i got a 1920x1200 res. 24" monitor. i dunno how much the performance would drop on ur...
