My 5 year old Asus laptop had DVI and VGA. Now it seems like they have VGA and HDMI. It's hard to find laptops with DVI anymore. No adapters work for VGA to DVI?

If you are using a computer with VGA, it's time for a different computer before worrying about the monitor.

Trying to decide if I should buy one of these or wait for the Amazon model that comes out next month. This one is about 150 dollars cheaper and I could buy a nice stand but the A- thing is kind of a concern.
