Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I'm looking to put together a computer for GPU-based password cracking/recovery, probably using something like oclhashcat.
Although we're looking to assemble a machine ostensibly for password work, we won't be performing such work 24/7 365, so a machine which is reasonably capable when it comes...
Hi Danny,
Thanks for the reply.
6) Will you be overclocking?
Maybe at some point, though it isn't a hobby/pursuit of mine.
7) What size monitor do you have and/or plan to have?
Currently have a 20 inch 1680x1050 res monitor, but it's on its last legs now. Looking for something with at...
I'm looking to put together a new build and wanted to get some opinions. I'm looking for something which has good all around performance and that's reasonably quiet.
Budget: Under 2000 (I live in Ireland, though will probably buy from the UK).
Components needed: Everything except the...
I'm glad your happy with it, I'd hate to give something a positive review only for that review to lead somebody to make a mistake.
The big question is, why do Acer advertise the monitor as being of an inferior panel type. I e-mailed them before getting the monitor and they said it was TN, I...
*Cough* *cough* I seem to recall telling you (ScYcS) this a while ago ;) .

*raises hand* I have one.
No 4:3 scaling feature on it.
The most important thing I can say is that the info on the Acer homepage is wrong to the best of my knowledge. It says the monitor is TN, however, there is no TN panel that meets the specs that I can find, the panel has been...
It may be S-IPS, but the 800:1 and 300 brightness are the same as the 20" AUO panel I think, the same as the Belinea 10 20 35W and Viewsonic VX2025 use. It's P-MVA.
No body seems to be acknowledging the 1600x1200 res aspect. Understandable, as 4:3 20inch monitors are being over taken by WS. I was in the market recently and wanted 1600x1200 res but eventually gave in an went with a WS.
As mentioned the Dell has banding issues, such a pity as it looked so...
This is from a French site www.lesnumeriques.com.
These are images of the Samsung 244T from different angles, does your screen look very different from these images in terms of viewing angles?
The Belinea 102035 and the Acer AL2051 use the same panel as the Viewsonic according to group tests online, so may be alternatives.
The 940B is not 8bit though, I'm pretty sure its 6bit dithered to 16.2m colours.
