Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
It's an AMD x2 6000 with 4gigs of ram and an Nvidia GX260.
I just do EQ2 now, but have Assassin's Creed installed was thinking of installing Neverwinter Nights 2. Not a huge FPS guy since Quake 2, but like you said, the future is all DX10.
I tried doing a search for the preferred OS for gaming, but all I got was Tom's Hardware guides from early 2007. Other posts were saying "Vista : Trouble ahead..."
What do you recommend for the OS for a dedicated gaming machine? I have the option of WinXP 32 / 64 or Vista 32 / 64. They're...
Oh, I'll definitely need something beefier. Right now my PS only has 2 PCI-e power connectors. The one I have now is Rosewill Stallion Series RD500-2DB 500W ATX12V Power Supply.
I hear turning molex connectors into PCI-e connectors is bad for the card. I'll have to probably drop down 150-200...
NUTS! There's that blasted bridge slot. Thanks Danni.
I'll see about getting another GTX260. I may have to get a bigger powersupply since I'm out of 6 pin connectors...
If I crank up the settings, I get video chug, not network chug. Shadows are a bitch though, and on highest setting, it renders LOS shadows.
I didn't see an SLI bridge on the GTX260. I usually see them on the top of the card so you can use that small cable bridge, but there was nothing on top...
Yeah, I don't overclock. I always ended up pushing the envelope and cooking the chip. I leave everything default now to limit my tension headaches due to crashes and instabilities. >.<
I know folks who are great overclockers, and I admire you guys for that.
I did some preliminary newegg...
I use the UX2 in ASIO mode, when I'm in Cakewalk / Ableton and Gearbox application. It's much better in 64 bit version of Vista, but since my system specs are so low, even ASIO recording is taxed due to limited resources.
I'd love to be able to run EQ2 at full res, full armor and model...
I have a Dell 2405FPW, 24" monitor that hates running anything less than 1920x1200. The refresh rate variance is either 70 or like 72hz, so anything other than max resolution and 70hz and the monitor is all skewed.
Resolution is waaaay too high for the 320m 8800gts, but I got it on the cheap...
Looking for a good deal on a WORKING motherboard and PC combo if someone wants to sell them. Will paypal upon agreeing on the deal. They have to work out of the box, no BS, no RMA deals, nothing like that.
I would prefer if it was a good 550 or above chipset, SLI ready is fine by me...
I'm hoping you guys can help. I've googled this information all over the place. I can't find any SOLID information to help, only speculation.
I have a Dell 2405FPW running 1920x1200. I tried plugging in my PS2 into it to try to squeak out 720p or something to where I can play my PS2 in my...
First, here is my system specs :
AMD 3400 x64
1.5 gig of Kingston PC 400 ram (running at 333FSB cause my board is weird)
Asus K8N-E Deluxe Motherboard
BFI Tech 7800 GS OC, 256 meg AGP x4
120gig 7200 SATA HDD (WD, I believe)
Here's the clincher
