    I have reseated everything except for the CPU. Is there any other way, short of removing everything, to determine if the motherboard is grounding out on the case?

    It is a six pin connector, and yes, it is connected and has been on each card I've tried. I'm not understanding what you mean by using a screwdriver to connect the two power pins. Can you explain it in more detail for me? Thanks!
