    LGA1366 Passive cooling?

Alright, thanks for the input everyone! Lots of great answers! Looks like passive is out the window then. I'll look into the low RPM solutions.

    LGA1366 Passive cooling?

I've never had a passive heatsink on a CPU ever, so I'm not too sure how it compares. I'm planning on getting a i7 920, probably not going to overclock it. I want minimum noise in this thing, and my case is an Antec P180. Right now it has stock fans, but I want to swap the back one for a Noctua...

    Cathode array

As far as the light goes, I'd be okay if it's not very bright, I'd like a gentle lighting. But I'm glad to see you confirm I'll be good with one PSU. And thanks for the switch suggestion! Also thanks for the link Game!

    Cathode array

So here's what I'm trying to do. I want to do some background lighting for a bar type thing. Anyways, I need 8 light sources, for the 8 seperate spaces I have. I'm thinking of buying this : http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=17288&vpn=CLK12UV2&manufacture=Logisys%20Computer x 4 Now...

    DS3 or P5B???

Yea there are (again, from what I heard, no hands-on experience here). It just won't POST for Memory that's not 1.8v. If you have some lying around, you can post, change the voltage, and put in your other ram no problem. I think.

    DS3 or P5B???

I can't tell you for sure, but I've been reading on the DS3 (I'm planning on getting it), and I don't think that memory will work. I haven't decided what memory to go with myself for that board. If you already have the memory, I'd go with the P5B. But maybe someone else can confirm. ;)

    Dead HD

I have 3 hard drives in my current rig. A Maxtor 40Gb, a Maxtor 120Gb, and a WD 200Gb. My OS and most apps are on my 40Gb, which still works. The 200Gb drive contains my videos that I pull from my camcorder and is in a usb external drive enclosure. The problem is my 120Gb drive. That contains my...

Best WoW "easter egg reference" I've found so far...

There's an npc in the UC Zep tower called Hind Enburg (I don't recall the exact spelling...) on the side that goes to GG.

    Asus A7V400-MX mobo + Sempron 2400+

WOOO! First post! So my stupid cousin decides to buy a computer and build it himself. Yea, that's not happening. So he calls me since I have relative PC knowledge. Basically he's got a A7V400-MX mobo and a Sempron 2400+ CPU. The problem I'm facing is that the motherboard has a DIP switch to...
