Dang now im just confused. I have never heard of a talking girl through the speakers, that just sounds odd. So do you think the processor is fine? Also would the comp even work if I try to boot with no memory or a video card?

Well at the tiger direct the cheapest pci video card they had was like $40. I guess ill just take it to a repair shop and see what they say. Do you think it will be over $75 dollars, cause that a lot of money when I could just RMA one of the two.

    Problems with computer...

What he means is to just take it out then put it back in. Reseat not reset. It just might not be in there properly, and it could solve your problem.

    Problems with computer...

Im having sort of the same problem. I get 5 beeps at start up, no post or video. I just took everything out just in case the mobo was shorting, and only use the bare minimums to try to figure out whats wrong. Also if you have some extra parts try to swap them in and see if that helps.

Will they really have a 5 dollar pci video card? The cheapest one on newegg was $28. I might go to tigerdirect tonight and see what they have.

Do you have any clue on how much those shops charge? Also which do you think is better taking it to best buy or a local shop?

Ok so far I have tried all the trouble shooting. Right now I have the system stripped down to the essentials. Nothing is shorting the motherboard, and so far after searching the beep codes I think the problem is narrowed down to the processor or video card. Unfortunatly I dont have...

Thanks for the help Vette5885, I already tried the ram thing and they were fine, although I am probably unlucky enough for them both to be bad (knock on wood). Im using a different computer right now, and am also posting on the asus forum. I still cant find the beep codes. The video card idea...
