Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I only included one GPU block because I don't have the money for a second at the moment (well, not if I'm getting a monitor, which was the whole point hehe). I would like to WC eventually but emptying the loop would scare the hell out of me. I am also really hung on the idea of an all-internal...
Yeah; at the time I wrote the post I did not have beta access. Hopefully they'll address some of the issues load seems high while idling in places with not too much detail, seems to be always have a 99% load even if I'm still, from what I remember at least the temp never went down 10°C - beta is...
Thanks for the thoughtful reply.
Unfortunately I thought about going with the FT02 while I was doing my build last November, but decided to go with this case because I liked my previous Antec cases... sadly more than I care for this one, particularly because of the drive bays not having the...
Sad post to read, I've been a customer of theirs since 2002. Fortunately, I haven't experienced any bad packaging. I had to RMA a fault HDD years ago, was the easiest thing I've ever done... someone answered the phone on the first or second ring and the whole thing was done in less than 3...
In a post over in the PSU forum where I was confirming mine could handle SLI 480s, a couple people suggested that a single GTX 480OC would deal with Final Fantasy XIV @1080p. Since that thread, I was able to get access to the FFXIV beta, and I noticed while there isn't much lag on my current 22"...
I took a look around and I see several people in the forums with 1200w PSUs serving TRI-480s. Since my understanding is that a 480 uses ~315W, 1200w-315w means I should be ok with a 1000w PSU. I also noticed the HF Fermi PSU guide lists PSUs in the 1000w-1200w range for the dual 480 setup...
Sorry to hear about your problem Deeky.
First, do as I say... not as I do. I don't currently have anything backed up, except most of my work-related stuff which exists on email servers and my local drive... but after reading your post I'll probably set something up today because it's so easy...
If you're going to pick up an Intel SSD make sure you shop around. I almost spent $150 extra on one from Newegg ($649.99) before realizing Amazon had it on sale 30% cheaper ($499.99)... YMMV as Newegg seems to price products based upon current stock (Amazon is still 22% less at the moment)...
I was going through chairs every 1-2 years, picking up whatever was at Staples, and getting something new when one of my legs would numb from lack of circulation because I'd worn the cushion out. I considered everything (even exercise balls, and other weird things), but finally did go with an...
Since development environments aren't loaded... why would you need an all-powerful server?
If you just have 1, 2... even 5 users, that's not even going to come close to comparing to the load of 5-10k visitors a day. We'll need lots more info in order to provide you with any direction.
I second Danny's post.
A note about when your computer will cease "lasting" - exactly when this happens is also subjective. If you're only doing web browsing, this should be sufficient for many years; but if you're gaming your computer will need replacement sooner.
I've had a bad upgrade...
I would try updating or backporting the drivers before I did a reinstall. It sounds like you've isolated the problem but now you're throwing the baby out with the bathwater. Though MS has done some back-and-forth on the issue they've chosen not to fix some considerable issues in XP lately...
Why you need 4x 22" monitors (even 3)?
I'm a knowledge worker and am often working in many, many windows. I get good use out of my second monitor but I think I would just play with a 3rd. :D
I used to spam Newegg looking for new stuff and Google for (typically specific) different things. With an account here I like checking in as regularly as I can, maybe too much, because you can find lots of great applications for hardware, information for things like HTPC. When you're involved in...
Are you necessarily looking for an all-in-one package?
I don't think there are any limitations in regards to which window manager you use or what your setup looks like, I think you're looking for an appropriate window manager or desktop package. Some flavors of Linux may favor KDE over Gnome...
