If you run a ps xa |grep fah6 in the console, is the client running with -smp 24?
I don't have a system to test out Virtualbox with 24-cores so I'm not sure if that is normal or not. At one point, Virtualbox did not scale well past 8-cores but that has changed in recent times.
Thanks and no worries. :) I figured with the compiled binary, people should be able to install the Kraken with minimal effort using the same install instructions as would be used with other distros.
The dev tools (gcc/make) can be loaded in with minimal effort. However, the dev tools would make the image much larger as well so I use another system for dev and load compiled binaries into the image instead.
My ISP has been running like crap the past two weeks causing my site to be offline intermittently. I think today the service was finally fixed. At least I am hoping so.
I've been looking for something like this for quad socket G34 SWTX boards. Are you planning to make additional units for the SWTX form factor? I am interested in buying one from you if so. Thanks.

The main issue I ran into was the difference in timer frequency support between VB and VMware. VMware seemed to work best with a tickless kernel. VB would intermittently freeze with a tickless kernel although that was with an older VB version so this issue may no longer be present. I'll have to...
The most recent image does not use wine anymore. I put that in there back when Linux bigadv support was disabled as a temporary work around. Which NIC are you running and what kind of problems with it?

Leave the folding client running as is and type in ALT+F2 to open a new console to setup the NTP. Then you can type in ALT+F1 to go back to the folding console.
The first part of the command makes the boot script for NTP executable. This way next time you reboot NTP will load automatically. By default the script is disabled. The second part after the semicolon starts up NTP using the startup script.
