    CPU Comparison Question

If you can afford the SD go for the SD. I think difference will be minimal, but it's the better processor. Don't know how well the SD clocks tho? I know the Venice clocks very, very well in some instances.

Isn't the Venice 3000+ supposed to have a 9x multi?

Hehehe probably not but here's to hoping! Assuming my RAM is good I should be able to run a 3:4 and get the 1.8ghz to a 2.6-2.7 but we'll soon see. Was thinking of hopefully being about to run around 330 HTT. Seems like a lottery on how well your hardware will perform. Hope the funny pin...

Isn't the Venice 3000+ supposed to have a 9x multi?

I'm in 2 minds here. If you took the CPU out NOW and looked at it you wouldn't notice anything wrong, but...

AMD a64 Venice 3000+ PIN PROBLEM

CPU arrived yesterday with a bent pin! Found out that the pin reference is memcheck[8] from the AMD website. Is this an important pin? I want to put my rig together this weekend and don't want a lousy pin to hold me up! To RMA it back to the company I got it from can take up to a week! Do you...
