This is my first build. What happens is that from 10 secs to 2 minutes after shutdown my system powers itself back up. It only stays powered down if after I shut down Windows, I also power down at the power supply switch on the back of the case for at least 10-15 secs.

What I've tried:
--In windows I've turned off the "Automatically Restart" option in the Startup and Recovery area of System Properties (I really hoped this was the cause!)
--BIOS (all settings are at stock speeds):
Phoenix Award BIOS ver 1.1
Hardware monitor settings:
ACPI Standby State: S1(POS)
Power Button Function: Power Off
Restore on AC Power Loss: Off
Wakeup Event Setup: (all options disabled)

any ideas?

I got this when I had no keyboard in my PS2 port. Weird.

Are you on a network? You say you have disabled wakeup, you've deffo got wakeup on lan disabled right?

Yep, my system is connected to a hub, and wakeup was enabled. Turning this off fixed the problem! Its good to have control of my system back! ;)
Thanks for the help!
