    changing power settings seems to correct issue; however if doing restart i still need to refresh driver before the raid appears.

    also should add that if i reinstall the driver in windows the raid appears to come back. this leads me to believe that the card is actually going through initialization during power on/restart but for some reason the drives dont show up.

    in the end it is the simplicity of the whole process that won me over. copy files to usb / run file / change bios / unit boots... i know you can do any os from usb but certainly more steps then the "prebaked" so to speak method that unraid uses.

    have you considered unRaid? i personally just built a fairly cheap/basic unRaid machine and it is working great for media serving/storage purposes. i choose to use a cache drive to help with write speeds and read speeds are more then enough for me and able to support 3+ streams at a time.
