I was thinking of using something like this this: http://www.amazon.com/JacobsParts%C2%AE-12-7mm-Universal-DVD-ROM-Optical/dp/B004XIU4T2
I just have to make sure it can fit the tray of the FT03-MINI.
and I'm going for a 2.5" Seagate Momentus XT HDD.
Would it maybe be possible to mount a 3.5"...
I've been playing around with the thought of getting an optical disc hdd caddy for the optical disc slot in FT-03mini as I'm not using it at the moment and I need to get another HDD.
Has anyone else been thinking of doing this? :-)
The thing is that I'm having a FT03-mini chassis and I'd like to take use of the disk tray as I'm not using it for anything at the moment and I've been told you can get a "holder" which you can mount a 2.5" HDD/SSD in and replace it with your disk tray in for example laptops. Should work the...
Hello lads!
I need extra storage for my ITX build as 256GB SSD proved to not be enough.
I was thinking of buying a Seagate Momentus XT 750GB 2.5" because then I will not have to do any modding to my computer. I will if I go for a 3.5" due to lack of space.
Are there any cons in using a...
I've come to the conclusion that one 256GB SSD is not sufficient space for me. I'd like to record gameplay footage so I'm looking into getting a 3.5" HDD, but as it is at the moment, it seems almost impossible to get it to fit. Does anyone have any ideas? Thinking of ordering ST45SF-G to sort...
@Ulti,
It was my first self-build and due to the fact it was ITX aswell, I didn't really have the patience nor overview of it all, to take photographs :-)
@CorNut,
I'm not using an optical drive, I ordered one with the eVGA 670 but it got out of stock so I cancelled that and just got...
The eVGA 670 FTW fits, but just barely. It's the max size possible to fit in the chassis (10") :-) You have to mount it in the MoBo without having anything on the MoBo meanwhile (almost).
It's a REALLY tight fits, but it fits! :-)
Hey guys, sorry for the inactivity. Alot of stuff has been going on and I've been having some problems with getting stuff to fit, so I had to send it back and forth etc. I will update the post with pictures of the chassis in the weekend. Feel free to ask any questions if you'd like :-)
Has anyone changed the chassis fan in this? I feel mine is quite noisy at full load, but as I haven't had a desktop pc for a while, my ears might have become sensitive??
UPDATE: Unfortunately the ASUS 670 GTX DirectCU II TOP was too long for the case so I ended up ordering a eVGA 670 FTW instead. Now I just gotta wait for that (:
After some intense waiting since february, I finally ordered all the stuff I needed for my little ITX system. I will post pictures later when everything arrives and when I've put everything together.
Setup:
CPU: 3570k
^Cooler: Antec 620 H2O
MoBo: ASRock Z77E-ITX
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 1600...
@DoubleTap
I'm thinking of building the same build, unfortuantely it looks like FT03 is about to go out of sale in my country. I'm personally going for Ivy Bridge as I've been waiting so long for it and I'm not that much of an OC'er(though I want a mild OC like you 4.5ish)
What colour is...
