    FALSE ALARM! My system not booting up was due to a stupid SATA cable being half plugged in.... I don't know how the hell that happened, but im back up to 4.0GHz @ 1.48 :)

    @Sem My CPU was so bad, that it wouldn't boot @ stock @ stock vcore. It should have seen it coming when it wouldn't listen. @Brownstone: Unless I hit the 3.8 mark, my GPUs are bottlenecked really bad. And my first E8400 (which I took a risk and exchanged for this one) would do 4.0 @ 1.3...

    Yesterday night, I took apart my 9800GTXs to take off the stock TIM and put on some AS5.... everything seemed to go perfectly smoothly - except when I put my HSF back together and put the card into my system, I got the speaker noise that indicates that I did not have a graphics card in the top...

    @Nenu. Sorry I wasn't being clear.... I had to set 1.5 in BIOS, but the actual vcore in BIOS that was showing was 1.46 idle, and 1.44 load. My motherboard has really bad vdrop and vdroop. I thought my northbridge was getting high as well, but after doing a bit of research, apparently 75+...

    Yeah it looks like I got a bad chip alright :( I did a little bit more tweaking, and it's running 4.0 at 1.46 idle and 1.44 load. From my testing, my chip will not run at 4.0 under 1.440v load. As soon as it dips down to 1.432, it bsods on me. My temps arn't that bad, and are around 67C load...

    Ok guys, I ended up doing a really stupid thing and replacing my E8400. My original one was a Q808A and I got an Q810A this time. Now, I can't hit 4.0 stable without applying 1.456VCore under load, and 1.47-1.48VCore idle. My temps never go above 70C load, and usually hover around 65C...

    I did a bit more tweaking, reseating and reapplied the AS5. I'm running 4.05 with my idle temps at 47C, and 69C load with Othros Small FFT. It never goes over 62C with blend or F&H. I'll see how this goes for the next couple days, and do some more temperature testing. I don't know, but...

    I just re-checked my VID, and both CoreTemp and RealTemp say 1.2250V but Everest says 1.113V.... But high VID or not, 1.36V Idle, and 1.34 Load is not a too high of a voltage for 4.05 right?
