Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
You're crazy and in your own crazy world. He needs the power if he's looking to play 1440p games. You think the vram is more important than a more powerful card? Yea, you go wait for HBM2, then when that comes out, HBM3 or something else will be announced then you can wait for that too. smh.
You're right. The Titan complete skipped my mind as I always thought of the series as a compute card. I was addressing more of the X80Ti or X90 series cards when I was making my statement.
Looks like you already made a decision. I have both the G602 and the G700s. I went with the G700s because it fits my hand better, but the battery life on it is quite annoying. G602 would be the right choice in this case.
What mobo do you have? A lot of companies now have an auto overclock function that comes with the programs they bundle with drivers. That's the easy way out, but you don't get the best (most efficient) overclock.
Outside of that, you'll have to use your BIOS to overclock. LinusTechTips has a...
The stock cooler generally runs at low RPM at idle. When loading up programs that push the CPU, the fan gets noticeably louder. It's quite loud compared to any aftermarket cooler, but that's generally true with just lower profile coolers.
I would say stay away from the 390/x unless you are looking to crossfire. The 290/x performs just as well, and is technically the exact same card.
If you don't crossfire, you don't have to worry about the 8GB because a single Hawaii architecture card cannot utilize 8GB of VRAM efficiently. It's...
We'll probably see flagship Pascal cards around August 2016 or so. If you're really worried about DX12, then just wait. Why buy now if you don't have the information you want?
I think Battlefront may be the most gpu intensive game on the list. You would do well with a 980 for a good 3+ years. A 970 is quite a bit less overhead, but won't last as long. Maybe look into the Fury (non-x) as well. Get some benchmarks, prices, and see if you think the performances are worth...
I am currently interested in and looking at various liquid cooling options for my GPU.
I would most likely want to buy it preinstalled because I would not have to undo the stock GPU option by myself, with no prior knowledge how to do so.
I've always wanted to dive into the dual gpu on a single PCB, but crossfire/SLI support have been subpar so far. Hopefully they will boost support in both speed and quality. This card looks incredible, but I don't think I would go for a x2 card without watercooling.
Mark, any idea why XFX took out the portion about double limited lifetime guarantee from their warranty? It was one of the reasons why I enjoyed buying XFX :(
