Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Blu-ray doesn't support deep color so there is no benefit there, yet. There many current receivers that decode the full 7.1 PCM audio on Blu-ray now that aren't HDMI 1.3. Many of the high end receivers have started coming out with HDMI 1.3 now. You will probably see more at CES this month.
For the price I would recommend the Spyder2express. You can find it for just under $70. This will set your geryscale and gamma. There is also free software out there that uses the Spyder puck to calibrate other displays such as a TV or give you more control over the Spyder settings. I used...
OK. I am confused by what you replied. My calculation gave the max wattage/amps on the 12v rail you could use and NOT steal wattage from the other rails. So the Seasonic can produce 42a and still provide max wattage to the other rails. Anything above that and you could run into problem as it...
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Gods are smiling on me. This was try #3. I decided that if I got another PM330 I was going to order a Spectre x22wg-Gamer and compare it to the PM330 to decide which to keep. So I got #3 in today and setup. Went to the castle pic on page 5 and... it looked GREAT...
Pretty neat, but outdated dropdowns. I would have to go find the stats almost my whole system to plugin to that one. In a less than a minute I found almost everything on the first one.
Yes. If Seasonic prints it you can believe it since they build quality products. But while you could hit that max you do have to steal from the other rails. On the review he had to drop the load on the 3.3v/5v rails to get max wattage. Plugin my formula for the PSU label...
12v is what most size on. You need to know how to find the correct wattage and amp output of the P/S 12v rail and not what is the max since that usually robs from the 3.3v/5v rails. He has improved the page even since I used it not long ago. This was the only PSU calc I found, off hand, that...
Many P/S are now really only a single 12v rail internally. They will split the total amps up and some have a cuttoff if a rail tries to draw >20a. Some have even taken the cutoff out by Intel's blessing. P/S are different in how they show max amps/wattage. Some will show and absolute max...
Wow. Did some of you even look at the page as it provides amp draws? Most of the things I tried were correct. You still need to know how to read P/S power decals. A E6300 dual 8800GTX only need <350w and 25a. Doesn't mean you can use a Seasonic 380 even though it can supply 380w and 25a...
PVA has a problem viewing dark scenes straight on. On page 4 of the "Dell Panel Lottery" thread is a picture of a castle. On the PVA it is a black blob. You have to move off center to see the shading. On IPS it should look fine just like a CRT.
Also found out 205bw has HDCP where 204...
I think the 204bw uses an older TN panel where the 205bw uses a newer panel similar to the LG. The 205bw is know to have backlight bleeding. I am trying my third Dell 2007fpw in the lottery. I don't have high hopes. I will probably go for a Spectre x22wg-Gamer and compare it to the 2007fpw...
