Hey guys, quick question for you.
I'm helping my little bro upgrade his platform and we're wondering if he needs to dish out the extra cash for a new PSU. He's currently running a Rosewill Stallion 450W series unit, specs can be found below. The rig we're planning on is an ASUS 560 SLI with...
Hey guys and gals, I have a somewhat older motherboard that belongs to a friend of mine. He's looking to upgrade his 7600GTs SLI to an 8800GT. I've read mixed things about compatibility, and I wanted to get your opinions on the matter.
The mobo is the ECS C19-A SLI (1.0A) (Newegg link below)...
So I was hanging around newegg, pricing out a build for a friend when I saw this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814153035
Its a X1950PRO, and several times on the page its said as capable of supporting Microsoft's DX10. Any ideas?
Thanks fellas.

I can't do it... the screws were put in there by same person who put the damn Sword in the Stone. I've basically stripped all the screws trying to get it out and the RPM's on the stock fan just don't cut it. My screwdriver fits fine, and I'm no weakling, it just doesn't want to cooperate lol...
I'd love to go with two 7600/7900gts in SLI (not sure which yet, gotta check budget) and an X-FI, but I'm concerned with heat issues in a MicroFly type case. The PSU sits very close atop the cards, and as seen in the pics, the sound card would be straddling the lower GPU card making a tight fit...
That MicroFly looks badass too though, its 1.5" longer than the qpack so you can accomodate the better drives and the psu... gonna watch the hardware review, it looks great.
...or will my dreams be shattered and the 1900 wont fit. I've been planning a qpack build for quite some time now, I think they pwn, but I'd really like to see an x1900xt fit in there.
I was going to go with a 7900gt, but this mega-deal came about on new egg...
