JetWay X1950PRO Really DX10?

why can't DX10 support/compatibility be a firmware upgrade away? Most of these cards follow a specific reference anyways don't they? It's not like ATI hasn't had the DX10 specs for a while either.

The same reason you can't upgrade a GeForce 4 (for example) to support Pixel Shader 3. The hardware circuitry is just not in place to support the features.

Maybe they know something that they haven't told us yet.

this seems like a very unique card. I thought the 80nm x1950pro chip was 12 pipes native. These JetWay cards, both 256mb and 512mb are claimed to have a full 16 pipes. Other differences compared to traditional 19050pros are the capacitors on the card and single dvi. Maybe these are really xt's in disguise. Both cards might be great deals worth jumping on... or worth avoiding because the outrageous dx10 claim.
