Just got an email from Asus to say that the heatsink height is 39.67mm so only need to make 4-5mm of 'adjustment'.

The cooling block is about 35mm and I may be able to bend the pipes a little bit to drop down over the VRM but nothing huge.

Does anyone know the VRM heatsink height on this board? Its going into a passively cooled case so I need to check the clearance for the heat pinks and there's no information available on the Asus website.

Thats essentially correct (the cable modem and router are one device). Doesn't the wifi bridge need to connect to the main router via ethernet in order to repeat?

I could actually just buy a msata ssd and use the other four for storage. 16TB should give me a years free space or so before 6TB hard drives become economically viable.

Thanks. That card may be overkill for me though as I dont need raid, I only need to be able to add more drives that the board has sockets.
