Excellent? my a$$ ( have you ever had an x750? or just talking on the reviews you see on the Internet? have you heard those beatiful sounds: "pop" "bang" have you seen those shiny blue sparks? only missing smoke and fire:D) .
They are Good, but no such a thing as excellent and that...
what changed? = GTX 480 because is a power hog, and mobo i killed tha previous due to thermal grease dot contact in the socket area (i still dont know how it got there, i swear)
everything else is pretty much like it always has been:o
OK, so how you could explain this anormal behavior on my units?, both are seasonic because the silencer that i had was seasonic made (i dont think it was made by sirfa) but i tought if i purchase an X-750 i wouldnt have a single problem again ....puff... it was worse...at least the silencer...
Well, lets see:
- proper grounding :)
- reliable voltage regulator :)
- heating voltage regulator due to possible over voltage :(
Over voltage could be the reason althought my voltage regulator is working properly i shouldnt have problems because my voltage is being regulated :cool...
any unit can be stable or crap, is a matter of luck, so that "you get what you pay for" is nothing but bs.
PC&PC Silencer 750 only lasted on my rig 1.5yo and was light use, died when i used a gtx 480 for one month of heavy gaming, then i tried the fabulous Seasonic X750 Gold Plus 80+...
+1
i had a pcp&c 750 that did the same thing but you could hear some electrical noise not like coil whine rather like a tik tik i wasnt the fan of psu, i guess was some bad caps or something but i didnt bother with RMA so i just bought Seasonic X750 and no more problems:cool:
i have a similar problem lately, after many issues finally i realized that my psu is kinda dead, turns on fans and system but makes weird noises when any kind of load is applied, is a pcpower&cooling 750w and only 1 1/2 old but i opened it so i void my warranty:o but after reading the antics...
my psu is a pcpower&cooling 750w (year and a half old), the electrical noise come from gtx480 but as you said ;) it could be psu as well ...what voltages and amps should i get? 12v accurate in the 12v rail and 60amps? what wires (colors) of the psu i have to read with the voltmeter?
my gtx480 squeals a lot when I'm gaming (not previously occurred) and my pc shuts down, at first only did when i loaded 3d applications, then after just five minutes of surfing and general use and now immediately turns off as having some short so i took everything out of the case and test just...
thanks mate, but now I have a different problem, my gtx480 squeals a lot when I'm gaming (not previously occurred) and my pc shuts down, at first only did when i loaded 3d applications, then after just five minutes of surfing and general use and now immediately turns off as having some short so...
i think ur right but after many years and oblivion+crazy aa, still a demanding game:eek: i thought ill fly even with crazy maxed out options:D
So, in order to get 60fps i should disable any kind of AA and TSMAA right? or have to lower other options? maybe with vsync off:p
Yesterday I started to play oblivion with all the highest values in the menu of the game, and in the nvidia control panel I put the following configuration:
triple buffer - active
Texture filtering - high quality
negative lod - fixation
Anisotropic filtering - 16x
limit of the extension -...
