10GBase-T is rapidly coming down in price (and power usage). Given that it interoperates with existing gigabit equipment, and more motherboard and computer vendors (e.g. Apple) are beginning to include it, I feel it's going to be the defacto 10Gig standard in short order.

Considering that it's cheaper to buy a Vive and then a Vive Pro than it is to buy the Vive Pro package with the sensors (seriously, wtf?), this makes doing that even cheaper. You could then ebay the headset or something.
That having been said, I'd rather spend $500 for the Samsung VR helmet...
If they want to count on that, they need to make the toner NOT cost $400! When the generic toner is $50 for a set...hell, I'd probably pony up three times that--$150--for the 'blessed' toner. But four hundred dollars?!
