    weird problem...

What power supply are you using? Have you run each component seperately using parts you know for sure work? Start with just the PSU, mobo, cpu, heatsink/fan, ram, and vid card. Unhook everything else from the PSU and mobo. If you get a POST, start hooking one thing back up one at a time until...

    Quick Questions on Motherboards

Via has just released a chipset for LGA775 that does in fact support both AGP and PCI-E (simultaneously) as well as DDR-1 and DDR-2. It's their PT series of chips, but I have not heard of any retail mobos on the way utilizing these chips to their fullest potential. Here's a link...

    Random Crashes

RAM running 2-4-4-7 at 166 mhz that's a little odd. Also populating all 4 dimm slots might cause stability issues as well, it does on soem boards, it certainly creates performance issues by dropping you to 2T command rate at ddr 400 speeds (which is presumably why you're running at 166?)...

    Which board?

DFI sir if you want an OC board that pwnz. I've heard no more reports of instability on the DFI than I have on any MSI products. Most boards optimized for overclockability are usually sacrificing a bit in the way of stability but then again, is there an oc'er here who doesnt find a way to run...

DFI SLI board, or the MSI SLI board?

If it's for OC'ing, try the DFI, I doubt you'll be disappointed. Only mobos on the market that allow up to 4.0V on the vdimm without modding  Pair that with some OCZ VX memory and ltf out :D

Need a new Athlon 64 motherboard. Help

If PCI-E is out of the question I dont believe DFI currently offers a good S939 with AGP solution. They have a good S754 with AGP lanparty board, but not S939. If the MSI board is giving you headaches, being one of the more popular and well-reviewed nforce3 ultra boards, I would say look for...

TCCD Memory and High Voltages, a question

Thx Eclipse that does help. I think I'll see what I can get at 3.0 V before I try pushing further. If I'm satisfied with what I get at 3.0 V I'll put of quenching my OC curiosity until I'm ready to buy new RAM just in case I nuke my current dimms in the process :D Given what I've read so...

TCCD Memory and High Voltages, a question

Harro! My first [H] post and I'm looking forward to many more :D Anyways I have a question reguarding most TCCD memory's voltage tolerances. I've recently ordered an OCZ DDR Booster to go with my MSI Neo 2 Platinum mobo (vdimm limited to 2.85V and I dont wanna hard-mod it) and my...
