    Current LCDs are all in all better than current CRTs. The days of the CRT are simply gone. The high end ones were made of expensive parts, which were revealed by their price tags but the current ones are made out of cheap materials and their quality is not that good.

    NEC provides 3yr warranty in Europe (just like the competitors) and other companies also offer the latest S-IPS panels. So, I´m not sure a NEC at a higher price than the competition offer a better value to customers that haven´t got money to burn.
