I would like to know if it would be much better to get a monitor that has 92% of the Adobe RGB gamut rather than a monitor that has 72% of the gamut? The monitors with more gamut are more expensive and I don´t know if they are better in all regards? I also find it confusing why the wide gamut monitors have not more colors than others, i.e. 16.7M?
I shoot mainly in aRGB and I just enhance my pics a bit, but I don´t Photoshop them to death. My wife is a fine art painter and she is going to shoot some artistic photos and edit them and we are trying to decide what kind of a monitor we need. All I know is that S-IPS panels are best for photo editing.
All advice is appreciated!
