Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Thanks for the recommendations all! This has been really helpful. Basically, this computer is almost exclusively a game box. I've gotten a lot of recommendations for these (Astro A40) and I was considering buying them but my mobo doesn't have S/PDIF out. I don't have the room for a 5.1 speaker...
I'm looking for a sound card that will run on Vista Ultimate 64. From what I've read so far there are a lot of buggy drivers. Are there any decent options that don't cost $200? I'm looking for something that has a S/PDIF and/or coaxial out. PCI or PCIe are fine. I'd like to keep this less than...
Viewsonic just announced a new 24" 1080P HDTV. Looks like a TN panel display but might make a nice little gaming desktop monitor or something like that.
Res: 1920x1080
Built-in ATSC / NTSC / QAM TV tuner
HDMI 1.3 connectivity (no word on how many)
250 nits brightness (300 cd/m2 (typ))...
That was very helpful. I ended up swapping it out because of all the work people in that thread had to do in order to get the card to work. Mine was still under the return policy and it's worked out for the best as my new card works wonders!
I have a PC that is taking forever to load Office when I try and open anyfile from My Documents or My Recent Documents or any other folder for that matter. If I just open up, for example, Word and then do file open it comes up in a matter of seconds. Sometimes, during this period of waiting for...
I just installed and was playing Jade Empire and it crashed for no reason again. I really think there might be something wrong with this card. Has anyone else experienced this or should I RMA the card
I recently put a new computer together and installed Crysis to give it a test run. So far, Crysis seems to run at fairly smooth framerates even on very high settings so I was pretty happy. That was until I started getting hardware crashes. These crashes are so severe I have to reboot the...
Everything you are saying is about what I figured I would hear. Looks like I will need to have my roommate call the cable company and make sure my coax outlet is active so we can both get on ethernet. I know that will be the preferred method for his late night WoW gaming as well.
EDIT: I've...
I am wondering what the latency is like on an 802.11n network?
I just finished building a brand new PC but found that my old G wifi card doesn't work with Vista x64 due to a lack of any actual drivers. I have been thinking of upgrading my wireless network to an 802.11n and I figure if I am...
I am surprised to hear so many people complaining about this monitor. There are a ton of people on this forum who use 32"-37" 1080P HDTVs as their monitors and love it. I don't know about you guys but I wouldn't mind having a smaller 1080P set. I am curious as to how the reviews will turn out on...
I've never been a fan of VA type panels. I am too sensitive to the black crush and it gives me a bit of a headache. I keep waiting to replace my jumbo CRT. It's hard to find anything that is a good as my CRT. Only reason why I want to replace it is because I would love to have widescreen and...
According to the specs on Dells site it says that the viewing angles are 178°/178° which technically means IPS but most monitor manufacturers list VA types panels that way in my experience. This is a wait and see. Anyone willing to take the plunge?
Looks official now.
