    Thanks for the information. In that case I guess I'm going to have to contact Antec and see what they have to say. The PSU should still be covered under warranty.

    The PSU comes with the Sonata III 500 case. It's the Antec 500 Watt EarthWatts PSU. I've tried both APC and Tripplite UPS systems on it with the same results. It appears that because it's a PFC PSU that I'm going to need to use a UPS which out puts a true sine wave.

    Thank you for your very quick reply. You hit the nail on the head. Based upon your response I was able to do a little more research on the PC's power supply and it is a PFC power supply. So now it looks like I'm going to have to lay out significant dollars for a UPS. Do you or anyone else...
