Replace Sonata III Power Supply

So it appears that the power supply which comes with the Sonata III 500 case is an Active Power Factor Correction (PFC) PSU which requires the use of a much more expensive UPS to provide battery backup.

Is it possible to swap out the supplied PSU and replace it with a non-PFC PSU? This might be a significantly less expensive alternative than having to buy a compatible UPS.

Anyone have any recommendations on a good PSU if this is possible?
