Asus has been around for quite awhile... I can vouch for their motherboards, always have used Asus intel motherboards without issue.

I had an E6600 and it was pretty good, they're very cheap now, so I'd say anything above an E6600 will be able to game decently.

From my reading with my 5970, the single card single gpu solutions have significantly less problems.

Going to vote for the g700, I've had multiple razer mice and all seem to have a relatively short lifespan. I was between the g700 and the steelseries xai for my new mouse and I got the xai, although there is no doubt the g700 is very nice.

It's a really good choice, and if you look at the local 800D thread in the WC section you will see a lot of 800D's and many of the infinitely different options there are for configuration. You can definitely find something to suit you if you don't have any ideas!
