Thanks for the feedback guys it's greatly appreciated, just for clarification. I can use a 7970/280X with Core i5 2300 @3.3, without holding back the cards performance? I was always under the impression that an Intel K part overclocked was needed for that.
Hey everyone, I'm in the market for a new video card and i'm unsure of what to get. I've got a $300 budget for a video card, but I'm trying to get a good card that offers a good bang for the buck and i'd like some feedback as to which card. If I can spend less money on a new card that's more...
Hey guys, a friend of mine wants to buy a GTX 660 for his brothers birthday, thing is his brother already has one and is going to give it to him so he can run SLI. My question, is that his brother has a Core i5-2400 processor, will he bottleneck the GPU's? Or is that only a concern when running...
Since I bought my Radeon 9500/9700 gpu's many years ago, I've loved AMD's (formerly ATI) graphics hardware; You get a lot of awesomeness for the money, I'm happy to see that trend continuing with the 7970 cards,
For the most part, i agree with soda, either of those cards will suit your needs; personally, i would go with the card that has the bigger memory interface (I like having lots of AA and eye candy on).
The big things that you need to know about DDR2 and DDR3 are power usage and price, DDR3 use less power than DDR2. Currently, you can get 4GB DDR2 ram for about $50, for that same amount you can 8GB of DDR3, another thing is capacity, most newer systems support more than 8GB of ram. Not sure if...
The GeForce GTX 560 Ti is a good card, but you can also go with a Radeon HD 7850. From my understanding it performs between the GTX 560 Ti 448-core and the GTX 570, while using half the power of those 2 cards mentioned. Since the GTX 560 Ti and the Radeon HD 7850 are about the same price on...
If I go with the GTX 670 should i go with the 2GB one or spend the extra $40 and get the 4GB version, $40 isn't really a large amount so I don't mind spending it.
My budget is up to $450. As much as i would like to do sli or crossfire, for the resolution I play with, it would be a waste. I'm currently using my backup monitor, its resolution is 1680x1050. My main monitor broke down its resolution is at 1920x1080, but I plan on getting a new tv later on...
Hey everyone, I need to know what's the best video card I can get for a Core i5 2300 without any bottleneck issues. I upgraded most of my system back in February of this year, but I chose to wait off on video card due to running short on cash, so i stayed with my raden hd 4830. But now that I...
