Hey guys, a friend of mine wants to buy a GTX 660 for his brothers birthday, thing is his brother already has one and is going to give it to him so he can run SLI. My question, is that his brother has a Core i5-2400 processor, will he bottleneck the GPU's? Or is that only a concern when running with the 660 Ti's and higher? His machine's full spec is an Intel Core i5-2400, Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD3 motherboard, Kingston Hyper X 16GB DDR3-1600 memory, Gigabyte GeForce GTX 660 Video Card, Samsung 840 Series 120GB SSD, WD Velociraptor 1TB HDD (games drive), Enermax NAXN ADV. 82+ 650W Power Supply.

Yes and no. Would it perform as well if the proc was highly oc'ed 2500k? No, but he should still get a nice boost in performance.

The i5 will not bottleneck the 660 unless you're trying to go for high-FPS (100+).
