The limiting factor on these cards is usually the VRM controller. So you may be able to get a higher core clock if you reduce your memory overclock. Download OCCT and run the GPU test tool with error detection. Then play with it until you find the overclock you like that won't create errors...

UtopiA is spot on here. Buy whatever is cheaper as they are both the best value/performance cards out right now. I would recommend the 1gb cards though. This next year is going to be a great year for gaming monitors and you will want a card that runs 1920x1080 well.
