Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
for those of you who dont know that a proper Airflow is vital, let me shed some light on ya
1. proper airflow reduces overall system temperature
2. reduces temperature on components - Video Card and CPU etc
3. Longer life on PC
very recently, i had an overheating 6800GT that no matter...
Holy SHit!!!!!!!!
i got it!!!!
i'm now at 79C on load
to all overheaters, this is what i did
all I did was to have my fans blowing out (side and rear(120mm))
and also the pci slot beneath the Video card, i removed the cover and let air flow in from there
thank GOD, mi card...
i applied some Thermal compound to the core....should i do this to the memory as well? even though it is the core that is giving those high readings?
one more thing, do you guys run the Real time HDR ibl program an check your temperature readings as well?
let it run for 3 mins and tell me...
for all those enjoying cool temperatures and those in the high zone,
place your temps in this thread
to get your GPU at full load, run this program
http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/archives/rthdribl_1_2.zip
Real Time HDR IBL
and then goto your nvidia settings and take a look at the temps
i just got my 6800GT from newegg yesterday....
temperature - 64C idle 46C ambient
load- 92C
system case 34C
tell me now,....what must i do???? i mean i just got the card
i actually have it right now....i told the person to get arctic silver, but i got antec silver 5 instead!!
i'm just wondering if it is just as good as the arctic...
