Is the MSI rep still active on the forums?
I sent in a dead x99a Krait mobo back to MSI last month and now when searching their site it doesn't find the RMA any more.
Really would like my machine working for Fallout 4 :(
What? It felt NOTHING like a Battlefiled game. No classes, no squads, no real teamwork to speak of, all the weapons were almost identical in use, no revive/healing, no vehicle repairs, and on, and on , and on. Not to mention that you get vehicles by picking up a power-up out on the battle filed...
Agreed. The best we can hope for is that they will sell off different parts of the company to someone that will give a shit/do a better job. Then, maybe we will get a solid GPU design (and CPU for that matter).
I have 1080x3 with a single 290x and can run most games on highs with 50-70 fps. Anything above a 290x would do just fine for you.
If I had do buy one today it would probably be a 980TI but if you can wait it might be worth seeing what kind of performance we get from 16nm.
Wow... This thread is something else....
First off yes BY LAW a court in the US does have jurisdiction. It called an Antitrust lawsuit. The Microsoft IE case is a fantastic example.
Also you assume that GW code is only shaders. This is 100% not the case.
Next you claim that hairworks is ok...
Typically when these inevitable discussions come up and someone is complaining, I just reference Magic Mike and every super hero movie ever made. You think women are misrepresented? Oh... Ok.
I'm very excited for all the freesync/adaptive-sync monitors that are coming out. I just wish they would do 23in or 24in 1080p versions.
If Asus made a 24in 1080p I would buy 3 right now. Hell even if it was still 1440p I might still by 3. I just need no bigger than 24 inches.
Yeah it's OC'd a whole 20mhz. The 290x isn't the best OC'er ever but the fact that I can't change my clock speed in any way without getting errors is worrisome to me.
I have a 290x Tri-x and while it runs ok it will not OC at all. I get all sorts of graphical errors when changing the clock on either the gpu or ram. I have also noticed that it is progressively running hotter and hotter. I would like to replace the TIM on the card but the Warranty doesn't allow...
As the title says, GPU no longer lines up correctly with the screw holes in the case. I have a Cooler Master HAF 922 and the 290x is a Sapphire Tri-X. I can force it to fit if I push in the back of the case about an 3/8th of an inch. I've only ever had this happen one time and I was able to fix...
