Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
No... more intake gives your case positive pressure, and keeps dust out. This isn't a myth - there's far, far more holes in your case than where fans are positioned. With negative case pressure, air will be sucked through these holes and over time the dust will build up along every small crack...
Follow the directions they give you... half grain of rice worth in the center of the die or heat spreader, then evenly press the HSF down and make a slight twist when you're done. Make sure both of the surfaces are clean before doing this if you've been applying it before.
If you spread it on...
XFX 7950GX2 XXX
Go read some reviews on it, most powerful card by a large margin. There are even reviews including the 1950XTX, still isn't really touched.
SLI is supported, in-fact, the current lackluster performance is usually processor bottlenecking or the shallow queing in DX9.
I understand the XFX cards are overclocked, however...
Does anyone know if these cards use the reference voltage controller? If so, is it modified in any way to allow for higher voltages/OC?
I'd like to voltage mod one of these but I wasn't sure if it was already done.
...you buy a computer just to run operating systems? You don't need 4 gigs to run Vista itself, but what about BF2 on a Vista system? What about new games similar to BF2 that perform better with 2gb+ memory, when the OS is already using quite a hefty ammount?
As long as your memory controller...
Well this shit is pissing me off.
I see it this way, though - alright, my FSB won't be too impressive, but that can be made up for with the X6800 since it's unlocked, and if the premium is like the SE deluxe, that means as long as you can reach, say, 320 (which seems to be about where most OC...
At worst, a lack of power would just cause instability. :P
I beefed up the entire system and cut the NB and RAM out of the loop.
YES! Well, actually, the first rendition of this setup was using the cases' fans for the radiators, so I wanted to make sure any important components that were...
I use electrical tape to mark off the area I want it to cover (so it doesn't make a mess on the sides) then spread an almost invisible layer on with an old credit card.
There's an interesting project - test different application methods and see the resulting temperature.
I'm partial to the Delta 120x38mm TFB Extreme

Eh? Since when do I have an airport by my house? Oh, that's my computer.
Eh, I won it at a LAN party, I'm going to see if it will roll, if so, awesome, if not, no harm done, I'll just have to order one that can handle it. :)
