Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
This thread has single-handedly inflated the market price of these displays. The majority of these used units are not worth anywhere close to the prices sellers have been asking. It's laughable, actually.
Are the focus pots on the flyback set "perfectly" at the factory? I'm curious if they only require adjustment as a result of (significant) physical monitor displacement or if focus is an attribute which "drifts" with time.
I am interested in purchasing a small display that will be used for the purpose of showing video content via a laptop at a trade show. As far as price is concerned, the cheaper the better (<$200). Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!
I called NEC and was told they had no more new units available for replacement (only refurbs). However, they did say they were "on order" and were unable to provide me with a date as to when they would be received. This model, of course, has recently been discontinued, and I dont have faith...
RB30, thanks for the suggestions/info.
I suspect the cable is fine, and I actually already tried fiddling with the scaling options you speak of in the NVIDIA Control Panel. As you suggested, I think the culprit is the video card (just doesn't support the needed res over DV). Using the DV...
I recently purchased a BenQ FP241W and have been experiencing a strange issue. The monitor is connected with the supplied DV cable to a GeForce FX5200. When changing the display resolution to 1920x1200 (native), I can only view about 7/8 of the screen real estate at a time. The remaining 1/8...
Thanks for the prompt reply and info! Just out of curiosity, was there anyway for you to verify the replacement units you received were new? (Did NEC suggest they were new or were you just able to tell based on the packagaing etc.?)
Thanks again. :)
Sorry for the late reply!
Thanks vick1000 and abcdelight for posting pictures! Very much appreciated. I wanted to also post some pictures but have been unable to take any that really capture the screen uniformity issue.
At this point, I'm not sure what to do. I purchased the unit from...
I recently purchased a NEC 20WMGX2 and after setting it up noticed there appears to be some screen uniformity issues (backlight bleeding). I also noticed one "dead" pixel and a small "smoke-like" imperfection (difficult to explain) behind the screen located within the same vicinity as the...
