Does Dell U2312HM not use PWM for brightness control?

This is a great thread, and thanks to the OP for posting their results. I'm curious about this matter, as my U2412M does flicker, and I was curious whether the 23" variant did as well.

LCD Televisions with 4:4:4 Subsampling and low Input Lag.

I've decided to return my Samsung LN32D550. While the 4:4:4 looked good and the colors were decent, the lag made it hard for me to use my mouse and I felt the 32" might be too large for my desk. Something I didn't think about when ordering it was how I would have trouble connecting more than one...

LCD Televisions with 4:4:4 Subsampling and low Input Lag.

Here are some closer shots, at 100%. First one is in HDMI Low, second in HDMI Normal.

I'm not quite sure what you're pointing out, as I'm unable to see a green subpixel that is activated.

LCD Televisions with 4:4:4 Subsampling and low Input Lag.

Today I received my Samsung LN32D550, panel SQ04, and it appears to have working 4:4:4. I have it connected to my Lenovo X220 with a DisplayPort -> HDMI adapter, and it worked both on and off my dock. Plugged into HDMI1, which I've labeled as PC. Worked on both HDMI Black Levels of Normal and...

Best 32" 1080p IPS HDTV for ~$350-500 to be a monitor?

Where are you? If you're in the US, you might be the only one I've heard of who has found an IPS 32"er.

Best 32" 1080p IPS HDTV for ~$350-500 to be a monitor?

I'd like to add that the 42" LK450 seems to show up as the IPS model pretty frequently, while the 37" is not quite as frequent but it actually does show up, compared to the 32" model where IPS's are quite rare.

This may be a problem for the records:

Take a screen shot so we can see. Like linuxdude9 said though, this is not an issue with your monitor.

Best 32" 1080p IPS HDTV for ~$350-500 to be a monitor?

If I were to get a 32" TV as a monitor, I'd probably go for the Samsung LN32D550.

    HP ZR2440w

Yep, that was my issue. Thanks! I'm also curious, as the poster above me, about the flickering of this screen.

How were you able to view the review? It still has the pay screen up for me, even though it is now 12/23...

150 PPI+ desktops are likely next year

Sounds fine and dandy for gaming, but what about other computer usage? I can't imagine having any smaller text than my 1920x1200 24" monitor...

New (to me) Monitor Makes Popping Noises

Probably the plastic bezel expanding and contracting. My Dell 2707WFP did it all the time. I'd get on the computer then after a while it'd pop (bezel expanding), and then once I stopped using the computer and it turned off it would later pop as well (bezel contracting). At least that's what I...

    OMFG!!! $3 for a preview.....

That Dell does look nice, except that it's glossy and not compatible with VESA mounts :(.

    Dell U2412M

I haven't noticed any strain and I keep my backlight around 10 (out of 100). However, if I wave my fingers in front of an all white screen I do get multiple defined edges of my fingers, which disappear as I increase the brightness to 100. I believe this is an indication of flickering. My only...
