    Anyone know if the S1283 will fit an evga 680i wih the HR-05 IFX (non SLI version) on the NB? From pics it doesnt look like it would work mounted with the fan blowing towards the back of the case, but maybe towards the top?

    Jacoby, Thats most likely the anti-reflective (matte) coating your seeing. Just something you have to get used to or go glossy.

    Thats true. Not to mention I didn't notice any flicker on the previous monitors I had so I probably just got stuck with a defective panel. I plan on getting a bigger S-IPS in a couple months anyway. 20" just seems too small after seeing all the 30"+ panels around here :D

    My preference after seeing the 20WMGX2 is glossy. Solid colors are so much clearer and vibrant. The anti glare coating makes solid colors grainy or gives them a shimmer effect.     The anti-reflective coating is great for office use or in a room with direct sunglight. Seems most people prefer it over glossy screens even if it does make the the picture a little grainy. I was the same way at first, thinking there was no way I would like glossy after using a CRT for so long...

    JungleMan, color banding is no longer an issue with the latest revisions. That was fixed months ago and the purple hue at angles is a property of the S-IPS panels.
