S1283 with HR-05

Anyone know if the S1283 will fit an evga 680i wih the HR-05 IFX (non SLI version) on the NB? From pics it doesnt look like it would work mounted with the fan blowing towards the back of the case, but maybe towards the top?
 
Well, the HR-05 goes straight up. It would definitely be a squeeze. Have you performed any measurements, or looked up exact sizes?

Xigmatek has a chipset cooler similar to the HR-05 if youre interested. the fin array shifts back to one side though. That shift could give you the clearance you need to moint the S1283 blowing towards the back. Plus, it'll match. :)

Get some measurements and do the math to be sure though.
 
The S1283 has a bit of clearance, about 35mm or so.

Get a ruler and start measuring or get a file ready.
